At Troutman Pepper, Joseph has used real estate as a tool to drive firm culture and productivity. This can be seen most clearly in the recent redesign of the firm’s Atlanta, New York, Portland, and Raleigh offices. These build-outs focused on improving the firm’s ability to provide client care by building flexible, collaborative, and enjoyable spaces for its attorneys and staff to work in.
Joseph is a team-oriented leader who works with the firm’s attorneys, office administrators, various administrative teams, and other stakeholders to build productive workplaces. Getting all sides to agree on the best course of action in a design or project can be challenging, but it is an important part of the process and results in a space that works better for everyone and one that produces the best results for the firm’s clients.
Joseph is an expert in his field. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a Master of Science Degree in Building Construction and Facility Management. He also holds several certifications: including the “Certified Facility Manager” designation from the International Facility Management Association and CoreNet’s “Master of Corporate Real Estate” or “MCR” designation. Joseph is well-versed in corporate real estate and facilities best practices, and he uses this knowledge daily in his work for the firm.
Outside the office, Joseph is actively engaged in his community. In 2019 he was elected to a four-year term as Mayor of Doraville, Georgia. When he’s not working at Troutman Pepper or for the city of Doraville, Joseph likes to spend time with his husband B.J. and their dog, Belle.
