Dorien Pels has extensive experience in journalism with a focus on economics, transport, mobility, and retail. Currently serving as Adjunct-hoofdredacteur and previously as Chef in bij Trouw since August 2009, Pels has contributed significantly to Trouw's editorial direction. Pels was instrumental in developing "De Duurzame 100," a project recognizing influential sustainable figures in the Netherlands. From 2005 to 2009, Pels worked as Eindredacteur of Ideale Banen, overseeing a weekend supplement on employment, and as a Redacteur focusing on social and societal trends, particularly women's emancipation and integration. Academic qualifications include a degree from the University of Amsterdam, completed between 1991 and 1996.
