Nienke Zoetbrood

Nienke Zoetbrood is an experienced journalist and audio producer currently serving as the coordinating podcast editor at Trouw since November 2022, where responsibilities include producing a weekly podcast focused on sustainability issues. With a strong background in both audio storytelling and journalism, Nienke has worked as a freelance journalist for notable publications such as De Volkskrant and Vrij Nederland and held various roles, including as a science editor at De Volkskrant and coordinator of citizen journalism at De Stadsbron. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam, along with a Bachelor's in Language and Culture Studies from Utrecht University. Nienke has also contributed to academic education as a guest lecturer at the University of Amsterdam.
