DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and organize working paper files for tax return preparation
Assemble Canadian Personal and Corporate Returns and US Personal Returns electronically & paper
Prepare documents to the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) on a daily basis
Assist in creating the client authorization list and distributing/releasing the appropriate Tax Data Organizers
May be asked to contact government agencies to request for extensions, verify information and request payment adjustments/allocations as necessary
Scan bookkeeping source documents , when required
Track and keep records of returned, as well as, in-house source documents
Trowbridge Client Experience (TCS Admin)
Assist in monitoring specific client experience outlook account, in the absence of the Senior Associate, Client Experience
Set up tasks and projects for clients
Create working paper file (WPF) and assemblies
Direct tax related questions regarding completing the Tax Data Organizer, client’s Return and tax concerns to the appropriate Professional staff
Assist clients with difficulties navigating the Client Portal, such as, uploading/downloading information via the client portal, resetting user password
Respond to internal and external customer problems and inquires, determines appropriate action; and resolves issues or forwards to appropriate person for resolutions
Setup New Clients and tasks into the Firm database and systems
Maintain and update client database ensuring accurate client information
Organize, scan and upload source documents into the document management system
Assists with filing, correspondence, faxing, preparation and distribution of documents and other materials, and photocopying for Professional staff as required.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree or community college diploma, in Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent preferred
1-3 years of experience in customer services in an accounting or professional service Firm preferred
Working knowledge or experience in the accounting industry
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Capacity to work well in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to build rapport with clients
Adaptability and proactive attitude
Strong and clear communication skills
Exceptional customer service
Proficient with software applications/programs i.e. MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Willingness to learn new software packages
