Awa Cheikh Faye

Awa Cheikh FAYE is a seasoned media professional currently serving as a Senior Editor at TRT World since March 2023. With a robust journalistic background, Awa has been an independent journalist for Radio Chine Internationale in Senegal since July 2015 and worked at BBC Afrique from June 2016 to April 2023. Previous experience includes a position as a journalist at West Africa Democracy Radio from March 2014 to June 2015, where responsibilities included compiling and presenting news broadcasts, reporting from the field, and hosting a weekly health program. Awa holds a degree from the Centre d'Etudes des Sciences et Techniques de l'Information et de la Communication (CESTI), completed between 2010 and 2013.
