Mark Klusener

Mark Klusener is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in news production and communication consultancy. Currently serving as Executive Producer News at TRT World since January 2016, Mark has held various positions including Deployment Editor and News Editor within the organization. In addition to this role, Mark operates as an Independent Consultant, specializing in political risk analysis, strategic communications, and media consultancy since April 2015. Previous experience includes serving as News Editor at Times Media Group, Africa Input Editor and Senior Producer: Africa at eNCA, and freelancing for IHS Jane's, where Mark focused on military and security reporting for the Eastern Mediterranean. Mark's career began as News Director at RAM FM, overseeing news operations. Mark holds a BA (Hons.) in History and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Africa, along with a National Diploma in Journalism from Durban University of Technology.
