Caroline Bellamy

Caroline Bellamy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Caroline currently holds the role of Director at the UK Ministry of Defence since April 2020. Additionally, they serve as a Board Member for the CIO Advisory Board at VMware since January 2021.

In the past, Caroline has held various advisory roles. Caroline worked as an Advisory Board Member at the ONS Data Science Campus starting from June 2018. Caroline was also recognized as part of the Women in Data & Tech Top 20 in November 2019 and was listed among the Global Data Visionaries Top 100 at Truata from June 2020.

Prior to their current positions, Caroline was Chief Data Officer at Ordnance Survey from June 2017 to December 2019. From 2013 to 2017, they held the role of Director at Vodafone, where they led data transformation, big data, analytics, information architecture, and business intelligence initiatives. Before that, they served as Head of Major Data Programmes and Head of Business Intelligence at Vodafone.

Caroline also has experience in other industries. Caroline previously held the position of Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees at Grafton Nursey from February 2011 to March 2014. Caroline has also worked at Centrica plc as Director of Insight & Data & Specialist Roles from 2000 to April 2008 and at Sainsburys as a Database Marketing Manager from June 1997 to June 2000.

Caroline Bellamy completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, earning an honours degree from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, from 1986 to 1989. Prior to that, they attended Buxton School For Girls from 1984 to 1986 but did not obtain a degree or pursue a specific field of study. Caroline began their education at Folkestone Girls Grammar School from 1979 to 1984, where no degree or field of study is specified.
