David Murdock

David Murdock, P.Tech, is an experienced instrumentation and control (I&C) commissioning specialist with a strong background in the energy sector. Currently serving as the I&C Commissioning Lead at True North Solutions on the Trans Mountain Expansion Project since May 2023, Murdock has previously held roles at Energy Transfer and Wood, focusing on EI&C commissioning for gas processing plants and natural gas compressor stations. Murdock's expertise includes performing loop checks with Allen Bradley PLC, Emerson DeltaV DCS, and Siemens PLC, as well as troubleshooting and calibrating control elements. Earlier experience at Énergie NB Power involved maintaining and installing Yokogawa YS1700 single loop controllers, while extensive tenure at Irving Oil covered various maintenance functions on instrumentation systems. Murdock's educational foundation includes a program at New Brunswick Community College from 2015 to 2018.
