Lauren Wenzl MSPA-C AAPA CAPA has worked in the medical field since 2007. Lauren started as an ALS EMT-B with Pridemark Paramedic Services, LLC, and then moved to Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital as a Non-invasive Cardiac Tech in 2011. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Boulder Community Hospital as a Medical Assistant and Pain Management Medical Technician and Lifeguard. Lauren then worked at ROCKY MOUNTAIN SENIOR CARE NC PC as a Geriatric PCP/Urgent Care rapid response team from 2017 to 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Boulder Bone & Joint/ Orthopedic Urgent Care as an Orthopedic Urgent Care Physician Assistant Certified, and from 2019 to 2020, they worked at Boulder Neurosurgical & Spine Associates as a Neurosurgical Physician Assistant. Lauren earned their Master's Degree in Physician Assistant from Keiser University-Ft Lauderdale in 2016, an EMT-P from Percom Online in 2013, a Bachelor of Science in EBIO from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2013, a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in 1992, and a BS in Electrical and Computer System's Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1985. Additionally, Lauren has obtained certifications in Medication-assisted Treatment Waiver from the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) in 2021, Bloodborne Pathogens from the National Health and Safety Association in 2021, ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association in 2020, PALS from the American Heart Association in 2015, and OSHA.
