Mary Miller is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in special education and instructional leadership. Currently serving as a Learning Coordinator at TrueNorth Educational Cooperative 804 since February 2020, Mary previously held positions as a Long Term Substitute Teacher and Instructional Coach at Northern Suburban Special Education District, where Mary focused on behavior and regulation support to enhance inclusion. Additionally, from 2016 to 2019, Mary coordinated the EvanstonSwims! Program at YWCA Evanston/North Shore, offering free swim lessons and water safety education to second graders. From 2000 to 2016, Mary retired as a Program Supervisor for Early Childhood/Educational Life Skills at Northern Suburban Special Education District and taught a Social Learning Class at Meadowbrook Elementary School, with earlier roles as a Special Education Teacher in various districts starting in 1994. Mary holds a Master of Education in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago, graduate certificates from the University of California, Riverside, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University.
