Andrea Batey

Andrea Batey has worked for a variety of organizations since 2005. Andrea began their career as a Public Relations Intern for the City of Mt. Pleasant Police Department, where they worked with the department’s public relations chief to coordinate student public safety programs in the Mt. Pleasant community. Andrea then moved on to a Public Relations Internship with the City of Flushing, where they developed a strategic plan for Flushing's first Public, Education and Government (PEG) access channel. From 2006 to 2010, Andrea worked as a Legislative & Communications Coordinator for the Michigan Municipal League, a Public Relations Coordinator for Michigan Works! Association, and a Communications Specialist for the Michigan Osteopathic Association. From 2012 to 2016, Andrea was a Marketing Manager and Marketing Associate for CMG Partners, a strategic marketing consultancy. Finally, they are currently working as a Director of Business Development and an Account Director for TrueParallel.

Andrea Batey attended Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts (B.A.A.) in Integrative Public Relations. Andrea also obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Public Relations from Central Michigan University. In 2016, they obtained an Inbound Certification from HubSpot and in 2012, they obtained a UNC Business Essentials certification from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
