Rand Dow

Rand Dow has over thirty years of experience in the software engineering industry. Rand started their career in 1983 as a Senior Software Engineer at Sequent Computer Systems, Inc., where they developed BIOS, Diagnostics suite, and ported the suite from NS32032 to i386. Rand then worked for one year in Technical Marketing. In 1986, they moved to Siemens AG as a Senior Software Systems Engineer, where they were the Chief firmware designer and UNIX kernel. Rand was responsible for migrating mono-processor kernel to multi-processor design and led mentoring and training in multi-processor architecture design and development. In 2004, Rand moved to Telefónica Germany as a Program Coordinator. Rand then moved to Rhode & Schwarz in 2008 as a Senior Software Architect. In 2014, they joined Carrier as a Systems Engineer. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Truepic as a Senior iOS R&D Engineer, where they are designing and developing several iOS applications for internal use by customers.

Rand Dow attended Oregon State University to work towards a PhD in Analytical Chemistry. Prior to that, they earned a BS in Chemistry from the University of Idaho.
