Jonathan Samples

Jonathan Samples has a strong background in software engineering, with experience at various companies. Jonathan is currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Trunk Tools, Inc. since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Divvy Homes from December 2021 to April 2023. Jonathan also served as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Poly from May 2018 to December 2021.

Before joining Poly, Jonathan worked at G5, where they held multiple positions. Jonathan started as a Senior Software Engineer in January 2015 and transitioned to become the Project, Team, and Technical Lead, responsible for building an analytics offering using Ruby on Rails. Later, they became the Director of Engineering, managing a team of developers and testers.

Jonathan's earlier experience includes Senior Software Engineer roles at productOps, Inc. from July 2010 to January 2015, Server Developer at ClientShow, Inc. from 2009 to 2011, and Web Application Developer at Cellfire from November 2007 to December 2008. Jonathan began their career as a Java Developer at DMDC from April 2007 to November 2007.

Jonathan Samples completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Computer Science from Pomona College, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from North Monterey Country High School between 1996 and 2000. In addition to their formal education, Jonathan also obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in June 2014.
