Maggie Sayer has a wealth of experience in the IT industry. Maggie began their career in 2000 as a Project Manager at Wachovia, where they were responsible for performing root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues relating to the company's internal IT ticket resolution process. Maggie was also selected by senior management to act as Project Lead for Peregrine's Service Center implementation. In 2001, they began working at Marine Bank as VP/Director of IT, where they relocated all IT functions in-house and created initial Website and Internet banking features within 18 months of hire. Maggie also formed and chaired the technology steering committee and reported results to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis. In the same year, they also began working as a part-time faculty member at Florida Keys Community College. In 2012, they began working as a consultant at KCS Technical Solutions. In 2016, they began working as a consultant at TruSec Consulting Inc., where they successfully developed enterprise information security frameworks ensuring data integrity, confidentiality and availability of information as well as the creation of necessary controls for data processing within organizations. Maggie also performs IT Risk Assessments and IT General Control Audits for clients and has helped multiple clients successfully comply with their internal and external compliance requirements. In the same year, they also began working as an adjunct professor at Saint Leo University. Finally, from 2009 to 2016, they worked at Keys Federal Credit Union as CEO and IT Director/ISO. In this role, they developed and implemented the original Information Security Program, including policies for network access controls, incident response, data retention and vendor due diligence in order to comply with NCUA guidelines and requirements. Maggie also developed, implemented and trained staff on an information security awareness program, coordinated Business Impact Analysis, Disaster Recovery, Risk Assessment, and Business Continuity plans, programs and testing, and regularly conducted forensic computer examinations, digital investigations, data recovery & data collection operations and electronic discovery processes as it relates to possible intrusions, fraud or identity theft.
Maggie Sayer completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, Special Education and Computer Information Systems at Elon University from 1996 to 2000. In 2011 to 2013, they obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Information Security Management from Saint Leo University. Maggie is currently pursuing their Master of Science - MS in Cybersecurity from Saint Leo University. In addition to their degrees, Sayer has obtained several certifications, including Certified Lead Penetration Testing Professional (CLPTP) from PECB in March 2016, COBIT 5 Foundation Certificate from ISACA in December 2015, Certified Lead Forensics Examiner (CLFE) from PECB in July 2015, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in June 2014, Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) from EC-Council in March 2013, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) from Microsoft in 2004, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) from Microsoft in 2004, and A+ from CompTIA in 2003.
