Carmen Oprea

Carmen Oprea has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Carmen is currently the Head of Product at Trustana, where they are involved in building a cross-border ecosystem for B2B retail in the ASEAN and China region. Prior to this, Carmen held various positions at HappyFresh, starting as the VP of Growth and then progressing to become the Vice President of Product and later the Senior Vice President of Product. At HappyFresh, they played a crucial role in shaping the company's growth strategies and implementing key product and business unit strategies, including areas such as personalization, machine intelligence, and omnichannel.

Before joining HappyFresh, Carmen was the Cofounder and COO of Socital, a SaaS provider of identity customer data and website marketing tools. Carmen helped companies build relevant customer relationships through deep customer insights and personalization tools. Earlier in their career, Carmen served as the Director of Business Development MENA at Humantelligence, an enterprise software company focused on measuring and transforming corporate culture.

Carmen also has experience in event management and community building. Carmen was the Founder and Curator of TEDxAbuDhabi and the Cofounder and Curator of TEDxBucharest, both global platforms dedicated to sharing ideas. Additionally, Carmen was a Cofounder and Partner at Femalam, a collective that promoted remote and flexible work practices and provided creative services to startups and cutting-edge companies.

Carmen also held the position of Vice President External Relations at AIESEC, an international student organization. Overall, Carmen's work experience demonstrates their expertise in product development, growth strategies, business development, and community building.

Carmen Oprea has a diverse educational background. In 2006, they attended the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in Tourism and Services. Carmen successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2009.

After that, Carmen enrolled in the same institution, the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest, to further their education. From 2009 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Financial Risk. Carmen successfully completed their studies and received their MA degree.

In 2011, Carmen also attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where they obtained a Certificate in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Global Management. This short-term academic program allowed their to enhance their knowledge in these areas.
