Lorraine Taggart

Lorraine Taggart is a dedicated medical interpreter with extensive experience spanning various organizations. Currently employed at AMN Healthcare as a Medical Interpreter since September 2022, Lorraine also serves as a Volunteer Interpreter/Translator at the Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti, providing pro bono translation services for lawyers assisting Haitian refugees and asylum seekers. Lorraine has a strong freelance background with Trusted Translations, offering translation, editing, and proofreading services in Haitian Creole, and provides over-the-phone interpretation through Propio Language Services and Voyce Global. Previous roles include interpreting for Stratus Video and TransPerfect, as well as holding communications responsibilities with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Oxfam GB. Lorraine holds a TEYL Certificate from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from Ashworth College.
