James Cavan is a trustee at The Trustees of Reservations. James was previously the President, Chief Operating Officer, and member of the Board of Directors at CORRONA, a global medical research company. James has also worked at EurekaConnect.
James has extensive experience in the medical research industry, having initiated the trend towards pooled data among pharmaceutical companies. James has also operated multiple observational data registries in various therapeutic areas and has overseen biologic sample collection for biomarker research.
Under James' leadership, CORRONA saw significant growth, expanding its business to 11 countries on 4 continents. James also successfully negotiated high value research and consulting contracts with academic research universities and noted key opinion leaders.
In addition to their work in the medical research industry, James has also developed an expertise in information technology infrastructure, having coordinated the development of user requirements for key proprietary medical data collection and research system (CORRONAbase). James has also facilitated budget development, vendor selection and development of software for internal and possible external fee for service use.
James Cavan's educational career includes a Masters in Administration from Boston College, a BS in Communications from Boston College, and completion of the Paramedic Program at Northeastern University. James also attended St. Sebastians School CDS.
