Jesse Emerson has a well-rounded work experience in the cybersecurity field. Jesse started their career at IBM in 1999, where they served as the Senior Manager for IBM Global Threat Operations until 2010. Jesse then moved on to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they held the positions of Global Director for Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting from 2010 to 2015, and Senior Director of Protect Transformation from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Micro Focus as the Global Director for Cyber Defense Consulting. Currently, they are working at Trustwave, where they have held the roles of VP for Americas Managed Threat Detection & Response from 2018 to 2021, and Vice President for Global Solution Architecture and Engineering from 2021 onwards.

Jesse Emerson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Recreation & Kinesiology with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership & Education from Western Colorado University from 1995 to 1999. In 1996, Jesse also obtained certification as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic. In 2002, Jesse received a certificate in Leadership Excellence from IBM Leadership & Education. In 2004, Jesse obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² and the GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst certification from GIAC. In 2014 and 2015, Jesse attended Harvard Business School Executive Education and received a certificate in Align: Accelerated Development for Directors. Jesse also briefly attended Missouri State University in 1996-1997 and the University of Colorado Boulder, though no degree or field of study is specified for these two institutions.
