Tsawwassen First Nation
Lia Munro currently serves as the Lands Records Coordinator and previously held the position of Lands Assistant at Tsawwassen First Nation since November 2023. Prior to this role, Lia Munro worked at Sacred Heart Elementary School from September 2016 to November 2023 as both Secretary and Education Assistant. Lia Munro's career began at Sacred Heart Parish, where the position of Early Childhood Education Assistant was held from September 2014 to June 2016. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Delta Continuing Education (2014-2016) and studies at Langara College and Okanagan University College from 2002 to 2004.
Tsawwassen First Nation
Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) is a proud Coast Salish nation with our land base situated in Tsawwassen, B.C. In 2009, the Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement came into effect – this treaty was the first modern urban treaty in BC and the first treaty to be successfully negotiated through the BC Treaty Commission process. Tsawwassen First Nation also became a full member of Metro Vancouver, the first First Nation to do so. We are now going through a period of revival and renewal as we plan our future and seek opportunities to sustain our growth physically, economically and culturally, for present and future generations.
