Shazad Khokhar

Shazad Khokhar is a Senior Scientist specializing in New Technology & Product Development at TScan Therapeutics since October 2022, having previously served in various capacities in preclinical development within the same organization. Prior to this role, Shazad was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Harvard Medical School from October 2018 to October 2022, where research focused on the role of autoreactive T cells in autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes and the involvement of antigen presenting cells in disease initiation. Additional experience includes serving as a Mary K. Iacocca Research Fellow at Joslin Diabetes Center and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universitätsmedizin Mainz. Shazad earned a Ph.D. at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where the doctoral research centered on the interaction between coagulation and immunity, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biology from the same institution.
