Xinyu Bao

Xinyu Bao is a Senior Manager at TSMC since February 2019, specializing in embedded non-volatile memory technologies. Previously, Xinyu served as a Manager, focusing on high density embedded memory material, device, and integration. Xinyu's experience includes being a Staff Engineer at Lam Research, where plasma selective etch product and process development were key responsibilities. At Applied Materials from 2011 to 2018, Xinyu held various roles, including Member of Technical Staff and Senior Process Engineer, contributing to selective epitaxy, high volume production processes, and collaborative projects with foundries and research institutes. Xinyu worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, establishing the first MOCVD lab and leading projects related to III-V materials and circuit layouts. Additionally, Xinyu was a Guest Researcher at Berkeley Lab focusing on solar-hydrogen generation. Xinyu's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Systems Engineering Certificate from Caltech.
