Amy Avila

Director of Special Projects at TSOLife

Amy Avila has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Amy most recently worked as a Director of Operations at Fit Minds | Life Changing Mental Stimulation since December 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Special Projects at TSOLife, where they focused on building therapeutic tools for Memory Care. Amy also worked as a Project Manager at Victory CTO and as a Customer Service Specialist and In Store Shopper at H-E-B. Amy gained experience in data analysis and project management as an Analyst and Analyst II at Exstratus. Before that, Amy spent six years as a Project Manager/Project Coordinator/Scrum Master at "Seeking new opportunity," where they led a PMO in an engineering firm. Additionally, they worked in roles such as Systems Specialist at ESC - Environmental Systems Corporation, Substitute Teacher at Pflugerville ISD, President of the Methodist Day School Parents Association, and Treasurer and President of the Runyan Elementary PTO. Amy has a broad skill set, including experience in operations, project management, customer service, data analysis, and leadership positions.

Amy Avila obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Texas A&M University between 1994 and 1998. Amy then attended the University of North Texas from 1992 to 1994, where they completed the Texas Academy of Math and Science program. In 2007 and 2008, Amy earned a Master Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University.

In terms of additional certifications, Amy obtained a Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in January 2017. Amy also became a Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) through the Project Management Institute in June 2017. Amy obtained a Learning Jira Software certification from LinkedIn in April 2019. Most recently, in May 2022, they completed the Invited MBA mini-MBA program offered by Invited MBA.
