Lorenzo Lo Monte

Lorenzo Lo Monte has over 12 years of experience in radar systems engineering and research. Lorenzo currently serves as the Chief Scientist for Radar Systems at TTM Technologies, where they lead research and development activities and acts as a design team lead. Prior to that, they were an Associate Research Professor and Executive Director at the University of Dayton, where they also lectured on radar and RF/microwave systems design. Lorenzo has also worked as a Senior Radar Systems Engineer at the University of Dayton Research Institute, designing and testing unconventional radar systems. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Technical Consultant at Patina Solutions, a RF/Radar Systems Engineer at General Dynamics, an Antenna/Wireless Engineer at PCTEL, and a Research Engineer at Research Associates For Defense Conversion Inc. Lorenzo also gained experience as a Radar Engineer intern at Rheinmetall WM GmbH. Overall, their expertise includes radar systems, RF technology, imaging systems, and signal processing.

Lorenzo Lo Monte obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, Lorenzo Lo Monte holds various certifications including a Certificate of English Proficiency from Drexel University in 2005, an Advanced HFSS Certificate from Ansys in 2007, and a Project Manager for IS/IT certification from Villanova University Online Business Programs in 2007. Lorenzo also obtained an Engineer In Training certification from PEPS OHIO GOV in 2012 and a Student Instructor certification from Keysight Technologies in 2014. Lorenzo Lo Monte also possesses a Ham Radio License from the Ministero delle Comunicazioni (Italy) and a Naval Radio Communication Certificate from the Minister of Communications (Italy).
