Janna Nawroth

Janna Nawroth is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in biomechanics and bioengineering. Currently serving as Principal Investigator at Helmholtz Pioneer Campus and TUM Junior Fellow at Technical University of Munich, Janna Nawroth previously held the position of Senior Research Associate at the University of Southern California, focusing on human airway disease through high-content imaging and machine learning. Earlier roles include Associate Director and R&D Lead at Emulate, Inc., and Technology Development Fellow at Harvard Wyss Institute, where Janna Nawroth advanced microfluidic devices for disease modeling. Janna Nawroth earned a PhD in Biology from Caltech, with a focus on biomechanics and bioengineering, and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology from Heidelberg University.
