Juliane Winkelmann is a distinguished academic and medical professional currently serving as Professor of Human Genetics and Professor of Neurogenetics at Technische Universität München. Additionally, Winkelmann holds the position of Senior Vice President for International Alliances and Alumni at the same institution. Since June 2015, Winkelmann has also been the Director of the Institute of Neurogenomics at HelmholtzZentrum München. Previously, Winkelmann was a tenured Professor of Neurology and Neurosciences at Stanford University from January 2013 to May 2015 and has held various significant roles at Klinikum Rechts der Isar der Technischen Universität München from 2008 to 2012. Winkelmann began an academic career at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, where responsibilities included leading a Neurogenetics Research Group. Winkelmann earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and has undergone extensive education at Semmelweis University and Université Paris-Sorbonne.
