Jonathon Schaffer

Jonathon Schaffer is a communications and broadcasting professional currently serving as the Coordinator for Communications and Broadcasting with the Tucson Roadrunners since September 2023. Responsibilities include hosting pregame and postgame radio broadcasts and producing podcasts. Previously, Jonathon worked as a Media Relations Assistant for the San Jose Barracuda, where duties involved updating media notes and writing game recaps. Experience also includes roles as a Broadcaster and Technical Director with Black Dog Enterprises, and Radio Broadcaster with 90.5 KSJS, where game commentary was provided for San Jose State Football and Baseball. Academic credentials include a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from San Jose State University, complemented by various roles in journalism such as Sports Reporter for The Spear SJSU and Sports Editor for The King Courier. Additionally, experience in customer service was gained at Chili's and McDonald's.
