Thomas O'Rourke

Thomas O'Rourke has an extensive work experience in various leadership and communications roles. Thomas started their career at MediaOne of New England as the Director of Government Affairs, where they ensured compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and led lobbying activities. Thomas then joined Fidelity Investments, where they held multiple positions including Vice President of Education and Communications, Vice President of Communications for Corporate Services, Senior Communications Director, and Public Affairs Director. In these roles, they developed and implemented communication strategies, managed teams, and strengthened understanding of corporate functions. After Fidelity, Thomas worked at New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA) as the Chief of Staff and Head of Communications, leading governance improvement efforts and strengthening the organization's brand. Thomas then moved to DentaQuest as the Head of Corporate Communications, where they led public relations, brand communications, crisis management, and social media efforts. Currently, Thomas is working at Tufts Medicine as the Head of Physician Communications and Engagement and as the Chief of Staff for the Tufts Medicine Professional Group. In these roles, they lead cross-functional teams, develops communications strategies, and supports leadership initiatives.

Thomas O'Rourke's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Thomas also obtained a Certificate in Essentials in Social Media for Marketing and Promotion from Great Bay Community College. Prior to their higher education, Thomas attended Rockport High School. In addition to their formal education, Thomas is a Registered Lobbyist with the State of New Hampshire, a certification they obtained in 1996.
