Mat Rappaport serves as President Emeritus of the New Media Caucus, an international non-profit dedicated to promoting new media art, with previous roles as Past President and President. Rappaport has been an Associate Professor at Columbia College Chicago since 2007 and also holds the position of Creative Director at Socket Design, in addition to co-initiating the v1b3 project. Rappaport's artistic work has been showcased under personal projects since 1994. Previous academic positions include Professor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Assistant Professor at the University of Dayton. Rappaport holds an MFA from the University of Notre Dame and two BFA degrees from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, alongside education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design.
