Annie Benefield Lcsw

Annie Benefield, LCSW has a diverse and extensive work history. Annie is currently the Director of Clinical Outreach at Tula Health, a position they started in 2023. Prior to that, Annie worked at INTEGRIS Health where they held various roles, including Manager of Health Equity and Behavioral Health, Care Transformation Coordinator, and Behavioral Health Consultant. During their time at INTEGRIS Health, they developed and implemented programs and strategies to improve health equity and increase behavioral health access for patients. Annie also provided education on health equity topics across the system and removed barriers for patients seeking care.

Before their tenure at INTEGRIS Health, Annie worked at Mosaic Mental Health as a Clinical Operations Manager and Psychotherapist. In these roles, they monitored agency documentation compliance, supervised students, and practiced evidence-based psychotherapy with diverse patient populations.

Annie's career began at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they served as the Outreach Coordinator and Peer Educator for the Collaboration for Assault Response and Education (CARE). In these roles, they developed and delivered education on healthy relationships and interpersonal violence, presented at conferences, and recruited and trained new Peer Educators.

Annie Benefield, LCSW, received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2013. Annie then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma, which they successfully completed in 2015. Annie has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including a license as a Master Social Worker issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers in May 2015. Annie later obtained their license as a Clinical Social Worker from the same board in November 2017. In May 2019, Annie earned a Certificate in Behavioral Health Primary Care from UMass Chan Medical School. Most recently, in August 2023, they became a Diabetes Community Care Coordinator certified by ADCES. In addition to their academic achievements, Annie obtained a Volunteer Permit from the Ministry of Education in Belize in March 2013 and became a North Carolina Certified Rape Crisis Center Hospital Responder in October 2012. Annie also holds a certification as a Tutor from the College Reading and Learning Association, which they obtained in December 2010.
