Annie Benefield, LCSW, received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2013. Annie then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma, which they successfully completed in 2015. Annie has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including a license as a Master Social Worker issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers in May 2015. Annie later obtained their license as a Clinical Social Worker from the same board in November 2017. In May 2019, Annie earned a Certificate in Behavioral Health Primary Care from UMass Chan Medical School. Most recently, in August 2023, they became a Diabetes Community Care Coordinator certified by ADCES. In addition to their academic achievements, Annie obtained a Volunteer Permit from the Ministry of Education in Belize in March 2013 and became a North Carolina Certified Rape Crisis Center Hospital Responder in October 2012. Annie also holds a certification as a Tutor from the College Reading and Learning Association, which they obtained in December 2010.
