John Edwards is an experienced academic and economist with a long-standing career at Tulane University, where John has served as Director of Graduate Studies in Economics and Associate Professor since August 1985. Additionally, John has contributed to The World Bank as an Economist and Consultant since January 1990. John's leadership experience includes serving as Academic Director for the Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy from July 2015 to January 2017. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and both a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Economics, with a focus on Public Finance and Economic Development from the University of Maryland.
