Head Of Petroleum Engineering at Tullow Oil

Patrick Jennings has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades in the oil and gas industry. Patrick recently joined Tullow Oil in 2021 as the Head of Petroleum Engineering. Prior to that, they worked at Harbour Energy from May 2021 as the Subsurface Growth Team Manager.

Their longest tenure was at Premier Oil, where they held various roles from 2007 to 2021. Patrick served as the Group Subsurface Manager, overseeing and providing support for all subsurface activities across multiple global locations. Patrick also led the Subsurface Team on the Sea Lion Falklands development project. Earlier in their career at Premier Oil, Patrick held positions as the Chief Reservoir Engineer, VP of Developments, and Development Manager, where they managed major development projects and acted as the OCM Representative for a joint venture.

Before joining Premier Oil, Patrick gained experience at Apache as a Staff Reservoir Engineer from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they worked at Amerada Hess as a Reservoir Engineer from 2000 to 2004. Patrick began their career at ELF as a Reservoir Engineer and Petrophysicist from 1993 to 1999. Patrick also had a field engineering role at Schlumberger from 1989 to 1991.

Overall, Patrick Jennings has a strong background in petroleum engineering, subsurface management, and project development, with extensive experience in major oil and gas companies.

Patrick Jennings obtained a B.A. in Physics from the University of Oxford in 1989. In 1991, they pursued an M.Eng in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, completing it in 1992. From 1999 to 2001, Jennings attained a Diploma in Management Studies from Henley Business School.
