Ross Catto

Ross Catto is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in reservoir modeling and field development planning. Currently serving as Lead Development Geologist at Tullow Oil since May 2023, Ross is responsible for creating advanced 3D reservoir models for significant projects. Prior to this role, Ross worked as a Senior Geologist and Consultant at CNOOC International from June 2018 to April 2023, providing geological expertise throughout the exploration to production lifecycle. Ross has also held positions at Tangram Energy Ltd. as a Subsurface Advisor, leading evaluation of acquisition opportunities and mentoring, and at ENGIE in various roles, including Asset Team Lead for Cygnus, overseeing subsurface activities and team coordination. Earlier experience includes serving as an Exploration Geologist at Gaz de France, supervising key assets in the UK Continental Shelf. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a BSc in Petroleum Geology from the University of Aberdeen.
