Itzel Mayorga

Itzel Mayorga is a dedicated World History Teacher at Tulsa Honor Academy since June 2021 and a Corps Member with Teach For America since March 2021. Prior to these roles, Itzel served as a Locker Room Attendant and Disaster Service Worker for the City of Los Angeles from June 2014 to June 2021, engaging in critical responsibilities during the global health pandemic. Itzel also gained experience as a Cashier at Target and as an Intern for Scott Peters for Congress, focusing on finance, communications, and voter engagement during the 2020 elections. Earlier roles included serving as a Store Cashier and Barista at UC San Diego's Housing, Dining, and Hospitality services. Itzel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and a minor in Critical Gender Studies from UC San Diego, graduating in 2021.
