Chris Nye has a long history of work experience in the biotechnology industry. Chris began in 2009 as a Process Development Associate at Alder Biopharmaceuticals. In 2010, they moved to Escape Therapeutics as a Research Associate and CIRM Bridges to Stem Cells Research Intern, where they identified unique surface markers for stem cells. In 2011, they worked as a Hybridoma Development Research Assistant at Santa Cruz Biotechnology. In 2012, they became a Research Associate at Didimi. In 2013, they moved to Caribou Biosciences as a Research Associate, where they developed CRISPR/Cas9-based genome engineering tools and technologies, and conducted cell-based assays, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and operated automated liquid handlers. In 2015, they joined Juno Therapeutics, Inc. as an Associate Scientist and Research Associate. In 2019, they moved to Shape Therapeutics, Inc. as a Scientist. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist at Tune Therapeutics.
Chris Nye completed a Master of Biotechnology at San Jose State University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. in Genetics and Biotechnology from Brigham Young University between 2002 and 2008.
