Laura Sinnott

Laura Sinnott has been working in the audio industry for over a decade. In 2007, they began their career as a Dialogue Editor for John Marshall Media, Inc. Laura then moved on to become an Adjunct Instructor for Location Sound at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2008. That same year, they worked as a Library Specialist & Communications for Pro Sound Effects and Blastwave FX. In 2009, they were a Sound Design, Edit, Record, Mix at Chrystie Street Sound. From 2010 to 2016, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor for Audio for Video and Advisor for Digital Audio Processing at NYU - Steinhardt - Music Technology, and as an Adjunct Instructor for Hearing Science at Pace University. In 2015, they started working as an Audio Post Production Engineer at Sinn Sounds. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Clinical Director and Clinical Extern at SENSAPHONICS INC. Since 2021, they have been the Director of Devices and Technology at Tuned, as well as the Owner of Sound Culture.

Laura Sinnott began their educational journey at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied Electrical Engineering and Music from 1997 to 1999. Laura then earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Music Technology from the University of Colorado Denver in 2001. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Music degree in Music Technology at New York University from 2005 to 2007. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree at The City University of New York in 2018.
