Nicky Cen

Nicky Cen is a software engineer who currently works at Tuned. Before working at Tuned, Nicky was a student software developer at CUNY Tech Prep from August 2018 to August 2019. During their time at CUNY Tech Prep, Nicky learned in-demand technologies such as React, Node + Express, and PostgreSQL as well as industry best practices for design, implementation, and deployment such as MVC, version control with Git/GitHub, agile & Scrum with Trello and Slack, test driven development, and CI/CD.

Prior to their time at CUNY Tech Prep, Nicky was a teaching assistant at Hunter College from August 2017 to May 2019. As a teaching assistant, Nicky assisted ~20 students per class in understanding Python and C++ and basic MIPS, Binary, and hexadecimal concepts. Additionally, Nicky taught 10 students problem solving methods to use throughout their computer science courses during lab hours.

Nicky Cen has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from City University of New York-Hunter College. Nicky also has a certification from Pearson VUE in Autodesk Inventor Certified User and a certification from Pearson VUE in Autodesk Revit Architecture Certified User.
