Kristi Clark has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Kristi is currently working as the Director of Research at Turing Medical since 2022.
Prior to that, from 2020 to 2022, Kristi worked at Medpace as a Senior Project Manager and Neuroscience Therapeutic Area Lead. During their tenure, they successfully grew the number of neuroscience trials from 2 to 18. Kristi specialized in developing and applying sensitive neuroimaging endpoints to measure drug efficacy, managing imaging components of 10-15 global clinical trials concurrently in multiple therapeutic areas.
From 2013 to 2020, Kristi was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Kristi played a vital role in founding and directing the Connectivity and Network Development Lab (CANDL), focusing on translational research using medical imaging to bridge the gap between basic neuroscience research and clinical interventions.
Before that, they held positions at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA as a Visiting Assistant Professor and as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Neurology. Kristi'sresponsibilities included collaborative projects involving the impact of surgical resection, autism, dyslexia, and schizophrenia on brain networks. Kristi was known for their proficiency in both clinical and technical aspects, allowing their to effectively collaborate with clinicians and engineers.
Kristi's academic research experience began at The Johns Hopkins University as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Radiology, where they developed software to compute brain connectivity metrics and analyze language networks using functional and diffusion MRI.
Kristi started their research journey at the University of California, Los Angeles as a Graduate Student Researcher. Kristi'sdissertation work focused on quantifying the reliability and validity of neuroanatomical measures from structural and diffusion MRI, and they created a comprehensive analysis software package for processing diffusion MRI data.
Kristi also gained experience as a Research Specialist in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh, where they developed workshops and wrote software for functional MRI data analysis. Kristi processed functional brain MRI data from hundreds of subjects as part of a large psychiatric research lab.
In addition to their academic pursuits, Kristi served as a High School Mathematics Teacher in the Peace Corps and gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Radiology and the Department of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis.
Overall, Kristi Clark's work experience showcases their expertise in neuroimaging, clinical research, project management, and academia.
Kristi Clark's education history begins in 1996 when they attended Washington University in St. Louis. Kristi completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology in the year 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at UCLA, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience between 2003 and 2007.
