Project Lead at Turion Space

Alfred Jensen has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Alfred began their career as a Program Analyst/Teacher's Assistant at Slauson English Language Learners, where they taught English, Math, and Computer Science to immigrant middle school students and analyzed teaching programs. Alfred then worked as a Tutor at the University of Michigan Science Learning Center, providing tutoring for math and physics courses.

In 2019, Alfred interned as a Vehicle Dynamics Research and Development Intern at A&D Company, where they conducted tire research and focused on math modeling and test data manipulation.

Alfred's experience in the field of engineering started in 2020 when they joined the University of Michigan Solar Car Team as a Chassis Design Engineer, designing structural components for solar-powered vehicles. Alfred also served as a Prosthetics R&D Engineer at the University of Michigan, working on upper arm prosthesis designs and focusing on developing new transmission systems.

In 2022, Alfred became a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, where they taught labs and managed grades for a mechatronic design and build course. Alfred also took on the role of Actuator Product Development Engineer at Stoneridge, where they redesigned a housing/cable connection system and conducted competitor product analyses.

Alfred also worked as a Product Design Consultant, completing CAD projects and designing 3D printable parts on a contractual basis for Martin LLC and private customers. Additionally, they were responsible for designing the floor plan of a positive-pressure clean room.

Most recently, Alfred joined Turion Space as a Propulsion Design Engineer, where they are currently working on designing propulsion systems.

Overall, Alfred Jensen has gained valuable experience in engineering, research, education, and consultancy throughout their career.

Alfred Jensen attended the University of Michigan College of Engineering from 2017 to 2021, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During their academic tenure, Jensen specialized in Industrial and Product Design, as well as Complex Systems Analysis.

Additionally, in December 2018, they obtained the MIOSHA Hazardous Work/Personal Protective Equipment certification from MIOSHA. In February 2014, Jensen also acquired the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 3 certification from JLPT.
