Kareem Darwish is a Formulations Research Scientist at Turn Biotechnologies since September 2022, specializing in the design and formulation of mRNA-loaded lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) using microfluidics technology. Key responsibilities include characterizing particle properties, optimizing Ribogreen Assays to assess mRNA encapsulation efficiency, and writing Python scripts for data analysis. Prior to this, Kareem gained hands-on experience as a Winter Intern and Summer Intern at Turn Biotechnologies, where testing osmolality curves, programming automation robots, and investigating the stability of mRNA were key tasks. Kareem also served as President of the Muslim Student Association at De Anza College, where leadership skills were developed. Education credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and an Associate of Science degree in Biology from De Anza College.
