Jose Vazquez

Jose Vazquez has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles and leadership positions. Jose started their career at Sun Microsystems as a Campus Ambassador, where they facilitated relationships with students and organized events to promote technologies. Jose then joined Grupo Salinas, where they worked as a Software Developer, Project Leader, and Systems Manager, specializing in Java development and application migrations. In 2018, Jose joined Turn as a Backend Senior Developer, and later took on the role of Director of Engineering, responsible for managing engineering efforts, coaching teams, and defining product strategies. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Engineering at Turn, overseeing multiple engineering teams, driving data-driven decision-making, and ensuring optimal conditions for team development in an agile environment.

Jose Vazquez completed their education from 2006 to 2010 at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, earning a degree in Sistemas Computacionales. Jose also obtained additional certifications including the Scrum Master Accredited Certification from the International Scrum Institute in 2017, and the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer certification from Oracle in 2014.
