Ann-Marie Davies

Ann-Marie Davies has extensive work experience in finance systems and data management. Ann-Marie is currently working as the Director of Finance Systems at Turnitin. Prior to this, they held the role of Finance Systems Transformation Lead at Smart Pension, where they reviewed and transformed the finance systems landscape using technologies such as Netsuite, Anaplan, and Jira.

Before their role at Smart Pension, Davies worked at Blue Prism as the Director of Finance Systems, Data, and Change. In this role, they focused on the strategic development and integration of systems across Finance and the wider business, as well as the implementation of data transformation programs and data governance initiatives. Ann-Marie also played a key role in designing and implementing a complex commissions model utilizing Anaplan.

Davies also has experience as a Managing Director at AMDXL Consulting Ltd, where they provided consultancy services. Additionally, they worked as a Systems Finance Consultant at Openera Systems Ltd and as a Systems Accountant on an interim basis at Muir Group Housing Association.

Earlier in their career, Davies held various finance roles, including Programme Analyst at Kier Finance Shared Service Centre, Interim Financial Accountant at West Cheshire College, and Interim Senior Project Accountant at Community Health Partnerships.

Ann-Marie started their career as an Interim Senior Management Accountant at Central Manchester CCG, where they were responsible for budget management, reporting, and financial planning.

Ann-Marie Davies holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and Economics from Heriot-Watt University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1996. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Systems Thinking In Practice from The Open University, specializing in Business systems, Management Information systems, Project Management, and Data Management. Ann-Marie also has additional certifications such as being a Member of the Institute of Interim Management (IIM), obtaining the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and being a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
