Head- New Product Development (Battery) at Turno

Subramanyam Natarajan has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Subramanyam is currently working at Turno as the Head of New Product Development, specifically for battery-related projects. Prior to that, they co-founded Systoi Technologies Private Limited, where they were involved in the design, development, and manufacturing of automatic climate controllers for greenhouses and irrigation products.

Subramanyam also co-founded Electron Mobility, a start-up focused on producing smart and electric Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) for last-mile delivery applications. In this role, they were responsible for conceptualizing and designing the vehicles, including the development of a vehicle simulator software.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Subramanyam worked at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India as a Thermal/CFD Analyst. Subramanyam was involved in underhood CFD for cars, heat balance analysis for the next S class, and battery cooling plate analysis for the Mercedes-Benz EQC.

Subramanyam also worked at Volvo Group as a Thermal Environment Analyst and Chassis Systems Designer. In this role, they performed heat transfer impact analysis, developed empirical relations for thermal impact studies, and conducted sensitivity analysis for components.

Subramanyam began their career at General Motors as a Supplier Quality Engineer, where they focused on project management, continuous improvement, and problem-solving for parts in current production.

Subramanyam started their professional journey as an Associate Software Engineer at Perot Systems Tsi India in Bangalore.

Subramanyam Natarajan completed their High School education at Vidya Vardhaka Sangha High School in the year 2000. Subramanyam then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, which they successfully completed in the period from 2002 to 2006. Subsequently, they went on to earn a Master's degree in Fluid Mechanics and Computational Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology between 2009 and 2011.
