Gareth Evans has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry. Gareth currently works at Turnstone Biologics as a Process Engineer in the Virus Manufacturing group, supporting the cGMP production of a Phase I/IIa oncology virus. Gareth'sresponsibilities include tech transfer support, evaluation of operational readiness, international CDMO partnership management, continuous improvement, and aseptic process qualification.

Prior to their current role, Gareth worked at CAI as a Bioprocess Engineer in Manufacturing Operations, where they provided technical engineering and project management support for the development and launch of a new oncolytic viral therapeutic production process revision. Gareth also served as a CMC & CQV Project Manager, overseeing facility retrofit activities and managing project risks. Additionally, Gareth worked as a CQV Engineer, executing commissioning protocols for a greenfield facility.

Before CAI, Gareth gained research experience as a Graduate Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University, focusing on creating modular protein switches for gene expression control through directed evolution.

Gareth Evans holds a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) degree with a specialization in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2019. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the same institution, attending from 2014 to 2018.
