Charles Melton

Charles Melton is an experienced public policy and research professional currently serving as the Director of Public Policy and Research at Turo since March 2018. Prior to this role, Charles worked as the Director of Tax Policy and Government Relations at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group from March 2016 to March 2018. Earlier in his career, Charles held positions as a Legislative and Communications Coordinator at the University of California from June 2011 to December 2015 and as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives from June 2008 to June 2011. Charles earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Davis in 2008 and a Professional Certificate in Marketing from the University of California, Berkeley Extension in 2014. Currently, Charles is pursuing a Master of Public Affairs at the Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California, Berkeley, expected to be completed in May 2024.
