Corey Young

Corey Young has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data science. Corey is currently employed at Turquoise Health as a Data Scientist, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Luma Financial Technologies as a Data Scientist from May 2022 to November 2022. Corey also held the position of Data Science Manager at EdjSports from January 2022 to May 2022. Before joining EdjSports, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at EdjSports/EdjAnalytics from January 2019 to December 2021. Corey has also worked as a Data Scientist at The Rawlings Group from April 2017 to January 2019 and at Semitone from February 2017 to April 2017. Corey'searly work experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Louisville from November 2012 to December 2015.

Corey Young attended the University of Louisville, where they received their Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2014. Corey then pursued an unfinished PhD in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the same institution, which they left in 2015. Afterwards, they enrolled in the Data Science Immersive program at General Assembly, completing it in 2016. In addition to their formal education, Corey obtained certifications in R Statistics Essential Training from LinkedIn in February 2017 and in Hadoop Fundamentals from LinkedIn in January 2017.
