Daniel Geyer

Daniel Geyer has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries, including electronics and engineering. Their most recent role was as an Electrical Engineer - Test and Validation at TuSimple, starting in December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Hardware Test Engineer at Modular Mining Systems from June 2015 to December 2020.

Before this, Daniel held various contractor positions, including Electronic Technician at Jigsaw Technologies, Inc. in November to December 2012. Daniel provided support in the production and testing of GPS and radio modules for rugged environments. Daniel also worked on circuit board testing, loading firmware, troubleshooting, and final build processes. Daniel also contributed to process improvement by providing detailed reports of step-by-step methods.

Previously, they worked as a Capital/DOD Contract Asset Disposition Contractor at Applied Energetics, Inc. from July 2012 to October 2012.

Daniel also has experience as an Electronic Technician Contractor at Rain Bird Corporation, where they conducted competitor product testing, breakdowns, troubleshooting, and debugging. Daniel was responsible for wireless product testing and analysis, range testing, and creating summary reports and presentations for engineering and marketing management. Daniel also contributed to the design and production of marketing products using SolidWorks and Photoshop.

In their earlier career, Daniel was a Senior Engineering Technician at Applied Energetics, Inc. from February 2005 to December 2011. Daniel worked on commercial and government projects in the R&D team, providing design and fabrication support from prototypes to production. Daniel also served as a Production Line Lead, overseeing the quality, cost, and delivery of systems.

Daniel started their career as a Machine Shop Student Employee at the University of Arizona Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering department from August 2003 to January 2005. There, they trained senior engineering students in the proper use of machine shop equipment, prepared laboratory setups, and supported wind tunnel and thermal laboratory experiments.

Finally, Daniel served in the United States Army as a Finance Specialist from April 1988 to May 1999. In this role, they established and followed policies and procedures, provided customer service, and prepared reports for higher management.

Daniel Geyer completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Communications Technology from ITT Technical Institute-Tucson, where they attended from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona from 2001 to 2005.
