Shannon Dipietro

Shannon DiPietro has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 1985, they started their career as a Journalist at Niagara Gazette and USA Today. Shannon then joined Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, where they worked until 1993, taking on various roles such as Communications Coordinator and Journalist. In 1996, they joined Delphi as a Salaried Personnel Representative and later became the Human Resources Manager - International.

In 1997, DiPietro transitioned to General Motors, where they held several positions over the years. Shannon worked as a Labor Relations Manager at GM Powertrain, successfully negotiating the UAW Local 909 contract. Shannon also served as Vice President HR for Thailand and ASEAN, overseeing human resources responsibilities in various locations. In addition, they held roles as Director of HR in Global Design, Product Planning, and Program Management, Director of HR in Information Technology, and HR Director in GM China, where they played a pivotal role in driving growth and leading M&A activities.

From 2011 to 2014, they served as the HR Director for Sales, Service, Global Marketing, and Customer Experience at General Motors. Following that, they became the Global Human Resources Director for Global Information Technology, playing a crucial role in transforming GM's IT organization. During their tenure, they hired more than 8,000 IT professionals globally.

In 2014, DiPietro joined SC Johnson as the VP of HR for Global Product Supply, Global Business Services, and Research, Development & Engineering, responsible for building engagement and maintaining industrial peace across 70 countries. Shannon then moved on to Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2019, where they served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Life Sciences Solutions and Lab Products. In this role, they led a team that contributed to a significant portion of Thermo Fisher's annual revenue and was responsible for colleague attraction, development, and retention.

In 2022, DiPietro founded Insights to Impact HR Group LLC, an HR consulting firm. Shannon also joined TuSimple as the SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer, where they lead the HR function for a self-driving truck technology company focused on making freight transportation safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Shannon DiPietro holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on international studies from Canisius College. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication, also from Canisius College. In 2013, they obtained certification in the Zenger-Folkman Extraordinary Leader 360 Assessment.
