Tammy Herring

Tammy Herring, SPHR has a diverse work experience in human resources and payroll management. Tammy currently holds the role of Sr. Director Payroll & Labor Management at Tutera Senior Living and Health Care since May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Labor Management at the same company from October 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining Tutera Senior Living and Health Care, Tammy worked at Beauty Brands as the Human Resources Director from May 2020 to October 2021. Tammy also held the position of Human Resources Manager / Payroll & Benefits Manager from May 2018 to May 2020. In this role, they successfully implemented a new HRIS system, managed benefits administration, conducted open enrollment meetings, and managed the payroll process for over 900 employees.

Tammy also served as the Human Resources Generalist at Plastic Packaging Technologies, LLC from January 2018 to May 2018. Prior to that, they were the Payroll & Benefits Specialist at the same company from October 2015 to January 2018. In these roles, they processed payroll, provided information to state and federal offices, and managed the onboarding process for new hires.

Their previous experience includes working as the Human Resources Manager at Eighteen Capital Group from May 2014 to October 2015, where they developed and implemented a performance management program and created employee handbooks. Tammy also worked as the Human Resources Manager at Hairuwear.com from May 2012 to May 2014, where they successfully implemented the first HR department, negotiated benefit expenses, and managed payroll and employee benefits. Prior to that, they held various roles including Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Specialist, Sales Administrative Supervisor, and Accounts Receivable Clerk at Hairuwear.com from July 2004 to July 2010.

Tammy Herring has a strong background in human resources, payroll, and benefits administration, with expertise in implementing new systems and programs, managing payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations.

Tammy Herring, SPHR, attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, IA from 1997 to 1999, where they studied Computers & Accounting. In 2017, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Tammy also has a certification called Essentials for HR Management from SHRM.
