Brianne Nguyen

Brianne Nguyen began their work experience in 2016 as a Research Assistant at UC Irvine, where they collected, organized, and processed algal tissue samples, managed large data sets in Excel, and surveyed invertebrate biodiversity in tidepools. Brianne also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, sorting insects and monitoring plants in a greenhouse.

In 2019, Brianne worked as a Conservation and Land Management Intern at the Chicago Botanic Garden, where they worked as a biological field technician at the Klamath Falls U.S. Fish and Wildlife Office.

From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Burns & McDonnell as an Assistant Environmental Scientist.

In 2021, Brianne joined San Diego Gas & Electric as a Permit Services Specialist I. Brianne also worked at Tutor.com as a Tutor I and Tutor II during the same year.

Brianne Nguyen attended High Tech High from 2010 to 2014 and obtained a High School Diploma. Brianne then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences at UC Irvine from 2014 to 2018. During their time at UC Irvine, Brianne also completed a minor in Earth and Atmospheric Science.

In terms of additional certifications, Brianne obtained the following:

- In November 2018, they completed the courses "Geospatial and Environmental Analysis," "Fundamentals of GIS," and "GIS Data Formats, Design and Quality" through Coursera.

- In April 2019, they obtained the certification for "Principles and Techniques of Electrofishing" from the U.S. Department of the Interior.

- Also in April 2019, Brianne became a certified Open Water Diver through PADI.
