Karen Townsend Murphree

Karen Townsend Murphree has a diverse work experience in various educational institutions. Karen is currently the Director of Customer Success at Tutor.com since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at East Georgia State College from August 2012 to October 2021, where they held the positions of Director of the Learning Commons and Assistant Director of Academic Advisement. Before that, they worked at Georgia Southern University from October 2001 to July 2012 as a Career Resource Specialist, providing career advising to students and alumni. Karen also worked as an Academic Advisor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from January 2001 to September 2001. In addition, they have previous experience at Savannah College of Art and Design, where they worked as an Academic Advisor, Housing Coordinator, and Resident Director from June 1996 to December 2000.

Karen Townsend Murphree completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Communications from Centenary College of Louisiana between 1988 and 1992. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Student Personnel Administration from Northwestern State University from 1994 to 1996.
